Qualifications:
A personal trainer needs to be qualified, but how? How do you know who's qualified if you don't know what criteria to follow? Just because they are certified doesn't provide much insurance. How do you find a personal trainer who can help you achieve your results?
Find out how long the personal trainer has been training. Why did they choose to become a trainer? What do they know about nutrition? What do they know about how the body works? Do you know that the average doctor, a general practitioner (G.P.), has less than 2 weeks of training in nutrition to become a doctor?! There is less mandatory training in nutrition for a personal trainer to become certified than for a doctor to be licensed. You do the math. Would you want to train with someone who is less qualified than a G.P.?
If you haven't already reviewed elsewhere in this site that the owner, Thomas Garrison, is the person who compiled this Web site, you know now. Head to Google and search "Robert H. Garrison". Until his untimely death in 2007, Robert Garrison, brother to Thomas Garrison, were close and communicated daily exchanging information and expertise. Thomas continues to practice, exeperience and train others using the teachings of Robert as well as his own education. A lifetime of learning from his brother, Thomas was also trained and certified as a personal trainer, prepared for competitive body building (although did not compete) at the age of 45 and continues to practice health and nutrition education. Practicing training techniques based upon tried and proven routines, Thomas has been successful at helping many people gain strength as desired, lose inches, increase their cardiovascular strength and simply feel healthier.
Types of Training:
Do not think for a minute that a personal trainer is going to somehow magically change your body into the "Incredible Hulk" through only a few short weeks of training. In fact, the training you do takes time to see results, regardless of how good the training. You should see results in as little as 3 weeks. But you won't be "huge" in less than 2 years - if and only if you desire that look. During that time you will decide for yourself when you wish to cut back or change the type of training you are using so that you either maintain where you are, or wish to work on a completely different aspect of your health. During your training you look in the mirror and decide if you have reached your goals and want to maintain. Your training isn't going to suddenly transform your body from one day to the next.
Now that you know you are in complete control of how you look and when you make changes to your routine, know that if you desire to train as a body builder for competition, Garrison Body can provide your training. If you wish to simply lose some fat, drop a couple of pants/dress sizes, that's also well within the realm of what Garrison Body offers. Or perhaps you just want to learn how to eat more healthy, understand the foods that create a healthier body. Garrison Body can train you to understand how to change your diet, why, and when.
As a personal trainer, Garrison Body will provide you the expertise and education so that your goals are met - whatever those goals. What's more, Garrison Body will do it for less than what you would pay in your local health club or to any other personal trainer because we provide 100% of what you need via the Interenet. If you need a "spot" in the gym, we can tell you how to get that. Everything you need for your success in your health goals is abvailable from Garrison Body.
